Kate is a self taught artist working out of her studio in the Northrop King Building in NE Minneapolis. She developed her interest in creating art at a Cold Wax Medium workshop 8 years ago. Since then her artistry has continued to evolve with new techniques and approaches to the medium.

Driven by personal memory and an ongoing reflection about her place within the world, she creates dynamic and expressive pieces through the careful layering of color and texture.
